New Surgery Building

Plans for the new surgery are now well under way with the final
stage of approval being granted by Nottinghamshire County PCT in August
2011. The Practice appointed LSP Developments as their development partner in February 2011. The design was developed in detail by their architects and presented to the Practice, patients and public at the end of May. Following this consultation, a few more changes were made to the plans and a planning application was submitted to Ashfield District Council in June. It is anticipated that the planning application will be approved by September 2011. The new premises will provide much improved accommodation for both the staff and patients. There will be a larger waiting room with children’s play facilities, additional consulting rooms and a dedicated nurse consulting suite. Additional facilities will include a phlebotomy room, health education room and a minor surgery suite. Work on the new building is due to commence at the beginning of 2012 and it is anticipated will be complete at the end of that year. Plans of the new surgery can be viewed here: |
